Summer Reading

Middle/High School 2017

There is no required summer reading for students, however, there will be expected summer work for students in AP English classes. Students in grades 9 - 12 will have supplemental reading. Incoming 9th, 10th, and College Prep 11th graders will use the supplemental reading book as the first quarter’s independent/outside reading book.  They will be assessed in class before the end of quarter 1 with a common point value and category across grade-level.

Incoming College Prep 12th graders will use the supplemental book as part of first quarter’s core works.  They will be assessed in class before the end of quarter 1 with a common point value and category across grade-level

Incoming AP Language (11) and Literature (12) students will still be expected to complete summer work

    • Incoming AP Language (11th grade) students’ work will be posted on the web and outside Quesnell’s room, and available in the counseling office.

    • Incoming AP Literature (12th grade) students have signed for their summer work, but information will be available in counseling office for transfer/new students.
