Enrollment Info

Incoming 7th grade students coming from our feeder elementary schools (Andersen, Eastbluff, Harbor View, Lincoln, Newport Coast) do not need to complete Address Verification or this New Student Enrollment process.

Address Verification at the Welcome Center for the 2019-2020 school year will begin on Monday, April 15th. Enrollment at our school site will begin on Monday, April 22nd. 

Here are the three enrollment steps:

STEP #1: Address Verification

  • Go to room #111 at the Welcome Center located at 2045 Meyer Place, Costa Mesa, CA 92627. They are open Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 3:00pm. Go to Address Verification & Required Documents for a complete list of documents to bring with you.

STEP #2: Online Pre-Enrollment & Pre-Enrollment Packet

  • The online pre-enrollment process can be completed at home or in room #112 at the Welcome Center after address verification. Please go to Enrolling Online if you would like to complete it at home. You will enter the verification number located on your golden paper from address verification, then click login on the page.
  • The pre-enrollment packet must be completed in person at the Welcome Center room #112. They are open Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 3:00pm. Go to Pre-Enrollment Process for a complete list of documents to bring with you. These documents are required for entry into any of the NMUSD schools.
  • Upon completion of step #2, a staff member at the Welcome Center will give you a sealed manila envelope with all of your documents in it.

STEP #3: Finalize Enrollment at CDM

  • Please bring your sealed manila envelope to the counseling office at CDM located at 2101 Eastbluff Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660. We are accepting the sealed manila envelopes Monday-Thursday only between 7:30am – 11:30am, no appointment is necessary. A staff member in the counseling office will break the seal on your envelope and review the documents. If all documents are deemed acceptable, they will set you up with a counseling appointment for your student to register for classes.

Enrollment is completed after your appointment with the counselor. 

Information for 2019-2020 School Year

  • Enrollment at our school site will begin on Monday, April 22nd. The sealed manila envelope from step #3 will not be accepted before this date. Beginning on April 22nd, we will accept the sealed manila envelopes Monday-Thursday only between 7:30am – 11:30am, no appointment is necessary.
  • Any student who completes the enrollment process and meets with their CDM counselor by June 3, 2019 will have the same priority for getting classes as our current students. There will be 6 opportunities to meet with the counselor:
    • Wednesday, April 24th: 1:00 - 3:00 PM
    • Wednesday, May 1st: 1:00 - 3:00 PM
    • Wednesday, May 8th: 1:00 - 3:00 PM
    • Wednesday, May 15th: 1:00 - 3:00 PM
    • Wednesday, May 22nd: 1:00 - 3:00 PM
    • Monday, June 3rd: 1:00 - 3:00 PM
  • Students who do not get an appointment on one of the days above will meet with their counselor after counselors return from summer break in August.
